Volunteering
Hospice of Westchester would like to thank all our volunteers for their invaluable help.
Volunteering with Hospice of Westchester means making a difference in the life of a patient and in the community. Hospice volunteers contribute in many ways; including visiting with patients, participating in our Flowers for Life Program, working in the office, and assisting with events.Training
Our director of volunteers is ready to meet with you to find the best fit for your talents, experience and motivations. This ensures our volunteers have the tools they need to support our patients and families and also work closely with our clinical team.
We provide 12 hours of required, hospice-focused training and necessary in-service training on health, confidentiality and ethics.
Clinical team members are ready resources of insight, guidance and support.
We find that 3 hours a week and a one-year commitment help insure a valuable, rich experience for our patients and volunteers alike.
